Kohler Hosts a Delicious Palate of Chocolate-themed Demonstrations & Dinners
Second annual In Celebration of Chocolate Weekend set for February 7-9, 2014
KOHLER, Wis. – January 7, 2014 – Revel in all things chocolate at the 2nd annual In Celebration of Chocolate extravaganza featuring three days of choc-full cocoa-themed seminars, educational demonstrations, tastings & experiential dining at The American Club resort in the Village of Kohler. An entire weekend is packed to celebrate all things chocolate and Kohler Co.’s sweetest product: Kohler Original Recipe Chocolates.
Chocolate-lovers rejoice with chocolate events morning, noon and night. The weekend fête commences with the In Celebration of Chocolate Wine Dinner on Friday presenting four delightful sweet and savory courses expertly paired with wines from Kobrand at The American Club. Saturday is a full-day of enlightening and educational demonstrations hosted by culinary and libations experts from The Kitchens of Kohler sharing insight into drinking, pairing and cooking with chocolate. The day concludes with The Signature Event, an exquisite gala-style affair showering guests with countless food tastings and indulgent confections at the Kohler Design Center. The final sweet soiree is celebrated at The Wisconsin Room farm-to-table restaurant as the traditional Sunday brunch gets a chocolaty makeover at Chocolate Lovers’ Brunch.
Throughout the festive weekend, Craverie Chocolatier Café will be showcasing the seasonal Kohler Original Recipe Chocolate Raspberry Champagne Hearts – richly blended ganache, flavored with raspberry, champagne and cognac. The Raspberry Champagne Hearts are created annual for Valentine’s Day and are available for a limited time at Craverie Chocolate Café or online at http://www.kohlerchocolates.com/.

Individual event prices range from $25 to $125 per ticket, per person. Hotel package prices start at $216 per person based on double occupancy and include two nights accommodation and tickets to select events.

Chocolate Demonstration: Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels and Chocolate Banana Panini: Saturday, 9-10am
Head pastry chef Molly Glackin presents a seminar at the Demonstration Kitchen that highlights some of the delicious desserts featured at The American Club. $35
Chocolate and Coffee Pairings: Saturday, 11am-Noon
Join Chocolatier Anette Righi De Fendi for this intimate seminar, which highlights flavorful pairings with chocolate at Craverie Chocolatier Café. $32
Cooking Demonstration: Saturday, Noon-1pm
Wisconsin Room Chef Alexander Glass demonstrates how savory goes sweet by incorporating chocolate, along with local ingredients, during this farm-to-table cooking seminar at the Demonstration Kitchen. $35
Wine and Chocolate Pairings: Saturday, 1-2pm
It's not just about reds in this seminar. Grant Bender of Kobrand Corporation will present a variety of wines, from white to sparkling, and Chocolatier Anette Righi De Fendi will demonstrate how to match chocolates with all kinds of vino at The Appley Theater. $32 per person
Cooking with Cocoa Powder: Saturday, 2-3pm
Blackwolf Run Chef Paul Smitala will show how to incorporate cocoa powder into cooking at the Demonstration Kitchen. Enjoy tasting Chocolate Braised Beef Short Ribs and Chocolate & Nutmeg Mashed Potatoes topped with 3 Sheeps Brewing Co. Baaad Boy Black Wheat Ale Sauce. $35
Choc-tail Mixing: Saturday, 3-4pm
Sommelier and Mixologist Jason Van Auken will demonstrate how to create delicious chocolate-infused cocktails at The Winery Bar. $25
The Signature Event: Saturday, 8-10pm
The In Celebration of Chocolate weekend culminates with an evening at the Kohler Design Center featuring samples of KOHLER Chocolates, a fondue station and specialty dishes and desserts from the Kitchens of Kohler restaurants and chefs accompanied by live entertainment. $80
Chocolate Lovers’ Brunch: Sunday, 9am-1pm
