General Property Information

  • Enhanced cleaning protocols for social space and all functional areas, specifically focused on high-touch surfaces and using chemicals that are recommended by the CDC
  • Public spaces, such as the lobby, arranged to encourage and support appropriate social distancing as recommended by the CDC
  • Changes in breakfast offerings to guest preselection with room delivery of prepackaged items
  • Modified check-in and check-out processes to reduce guest and staff-member contact
  • Comprehensive hygiene and cleaning SOPs and training for all staff members
  • Sanitation stations available throughout the hotel

Guests

  • To provide the safest and most gracious experience, guests at all Destination Kohler properties will be required to wear facial coverings or masks in all indoor public areas. Facial coverings and masks must cover both mouth and nose. 
  • Temperature checks for guests as they arrive by our guest services team
  • Follow all suggested signage of social distancing and occupancy guidelines, such as limiting the number of guests in an elevator at one time
  • All guests receive a one-time use, all-inclusive curbside DK dining menu
  • All Destination Kohler information of activities and Kohler Home purchases, including spa items, available on in-room tables


Arrival and Departure

  • Temperature checks for guests as they arrive by our guest services team
  • Modified check-in and check-out processes to reduce guest and staff-member contact
  • Visual awareness of social distancing
  • Cloth face coverings offered to all guests to wear should they choose
  • Breakfast buffet replaced by 3 breakfast options delivered at the guest’s time of choice. Options include hearty, healthy (with or without protein) or vegetarian


Transportation and Valet

  • Availability as “normal”
  • Social distancing seating (every other seat)
  • Sanitization in between each transportation
  • Shuttle staff members will have CDC recommended PPE


Guest Room Housekeeping

  • All unnecessary items removed from rooms such as decorative pillows, paper and pens
  • Housekeeping offerings modified to include limited-touch service unless specifically requested by guests
  • No entry of guestrooms for 24 hours after check-out at which point protocols of deep cleaning and sanitization are performed. Linens, all surfaces and touchpoints (door handles, light switches, clocks, hangers) cleaned with chemicals recommended by the CDC
  • Housekeeping “on-demand” options for items such as additional toiletries, towels, linens or additional coffee delivered without a Housekeeper entering the room


Public Areas Housekeeping

  • Hand sanitizer or wipes provided to guests and staff members in all public areas
  • Consistent rounds of sanitation and rigid protocols performed on an ongoing basis by staff members in PPE. This includes all high-touch, solid surfaces, door handles, floors, elevators
  • Social space has been appropriately modified to conform with social distancing requirements
  • Each evening, public areas may also be sanitized with ozone generators or electrostatic fogging


Breakfast

  • Buffets, guest self-service and bars have been suspended until further notice.  Alternate food service options are available
  • Enhanced grab-and-go offerings are available


In-room Dining

  • Enhanced cleaning and sanitization guidelines have been implemented, including but not limited to:
    • Proper use and care of required cloth face coverings for all staff members following CDC recommendations
    • Hand-hygiene protocols include frequent washing, no bare-hand contact with ready-to-eat food, use of hand sanitizer and proper glove use
    • Prohibiting sick staff members in the workplace
    • Heightened procedures and practices to clean and sanitize all surfaces
    • Food-service facility managed by a certified food safety manager
  • Delivery outside of the room is available and offered to all guests


Micro Market

  • Pre-packed food, beverage and needed sundries are offered in the Micro Market with intentional small quantities displayed. Only touch what you intend to purchase
  • Micro Market items may be ordered via a call to the front desk and delivered to guestroom by a staff member in PPE
  • Items may also be ordered from Woodlake Market and delivered directly to guestroom


Restaurants, Bars and Lounges

  • We are following the National Restaurant Association guidelines
  • Enhanced cleaning and sanitization guidelines have been implemented, including but not limited to:
    • Proper use and care of required cloth face coverings for all staff members following CDC recommendations
    • Hand-hygiene protocols include frequent washing, no bare-hand contact with ready-to-eat food, use of hand sanitizer and proper glove use
    • Prohibiting sick staff members in the workplace
    • Heightened procedures and practices to clean and sanitize all surfaces
    • Food-service facility managed by a certified food safety manager
  • All restaurants and bars have reduced seating to allow for appropriate social distancing between each table and chair
  • Single-use menus


Outdoor Lounges

  • Outdoor lounges have reduced seating based on federal and state requirements of social distancing
  • Group-size occupancy posted and enforced based on federal and state requirements of group gatherings to maximum number of guests


Banquets and Catering

  • Meeting and banquet rooms arranged to allow for appropriate social distancing between guests in all meetings and events, based on CDC and state recommendations
  • Buffets, guest self-service and bars have been suspended until further notice.  Alternate food-service options are available


Public Amenities

  • Ice and vending machines are unavailable. Ice delivery available to guestroom upon request. Vending items available in the Micro Market
  • Putting green is available to guests with appropriate social distancing


Business Office

  • Business office is currently closed Guests should contact the front desk for assistance, including printing documents


Resort Associate Requirements

  • Protocol for required wearing of cloth face coverings for all staff members
  • Staff members to follow guidelines for proper PPE usage
  • Temperature checks performed upon arrival to work
  • Staff members should stay home if they are not feeling well, and communicate their status to HR or their manager
