They include beginners' series, yoga boot camps, celebrity yoga instructor workshops, yoga for athletes, partner yoga, Thai yoga massage and more. Night and weekend series classes will present something for everyone with such offerings as yoga for mom and babies and kids’/youth/teen yoga. All sessions will be led by certified Yoga on the Lake teachers, registered by Yoga Alliance.

Join Kristie for a two hour prenatal/postnatal yoga workshop where you’ll be guided through a series of safe and effective postures and stretches specifically designed for the journey of pregnancy and beyond. This workshop is appropriate for all levels of experience. You will learn tools for relieving discomfort, labor, and embracing your changing body.

We welcome expectant parents, those who are preparing for pregnancy, women who are 6 weeks to 12 months post-birth, and anyone supporting someone who is pregnant.

The foundation of all yoga postures and transitions is alignment. When we learn how to intentionally set up our bodies to move into, through and out of postures with integrity and control, we begin to find grace and ease in our practice. It is imperative that we understand the basic anatomy of how this is done so that we can better understand the process needed to reach certain goal postures.

This workshop will cover the basic anatomy of Downward Facing Dog, Forward Fold, Chaturanga and Crow. Once we understand where we are moving from, we’ll begin to break down the most efficient and effective ways to transition into, out of and through these postures. We will also touch on skills and drills that will build strength, flexibility and control.

Once we understand alignment and the basic anatomy that goes along with that alignment, we can begin to build more advanced postures into our practice.

In this workshop, we’ll break down Crow, Side Crow, Tittibhasana and Headstand. We’ll begin with the basics of each posture and then explore their amplifications. Along the way we will work on ways to modify, build
control and incorporate transitions into and out of each pose. Arm balances are, for many of us, the first step to finding balance with only our hands on the ground. They are a great way to build confidence and the desire to
invert fully.

Now that we’ve built an understanding of alignment, learned ways to build strength, flexibility and control and started to play with balancing on our hands, we are ready to approach ways to float and fly!

We will start by breaking down the basic elements of floating and handstand and learn how to modify your daily practice to increase strength and flexibility in key areas. From there, we will explore different ways to get into and out of handstand, basic press drills and most importantly…..a safe and effective exit strategy! There will be many modifications offered up and I will also discuss ways to keep your wrists, shoulders and hands strong and healthy.
