Michael Belot appointed General Manager – Hospitality Development, Clubs and Golf Majors

KOHLER, Wis. – April 18, 2016 – With the continuing expansion of the H&RE Group, Michael Belot has been appointed General Manager – Hospitality Development, Clubs and Golf Majors.

Belot will be responsible for growing distinctive Hospitality products, specifically Kohler Waters Spa, Riverbend, River Wildlife, Sports Core, KOHLER Original Recipe Chocolates, Woodlake Market, retail shops, Village Realty & Development,  Destination Kohler marketing, landscape and maintenance. He will continue to manage golf Majors.

With the exception of hotels and golf, this abundance of amenities is what makes KOHLER Hospitality distinctive. Belot came to Kohler in 2013 as General Manager of Destination Kohler.

Prior to that, he worked for the PGA of America as Director of the 2012 Ryder Cup at Medinah in Chicago. He had been with the PGA since 2001 and was Tournament Director for the PGA Championships of 2006 and 2009. He also has served as a post-game consultant for Super Bowl XLV, on the village planning committee for Super Bowl XLVI, and was the pre-game talent producer for Super Bowl XLVII.

He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas Opus College, St. Paul, Minnesota, and a bachelor’s degree in sports management from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
