Fourth Annual ‘In Celebration of Chocolate’ Brings Dessert Industry Masters to Destination Kohler
Chicago’s Toni Roberts Joins Cocoa-Themed Soiree at the Forbes Five-Star Luxury Resort
KOHLER, Wis. — February 8, 2016 — Chicago-based pastry chef Toni Roberts joins an impressive lineup of culinary talent for Destination Kohler’s fourth annual In Celebration of Chocolate event, Feb. 19-21, 2016. The three-day chocolate-centric experience will feature cocoa-inspired dinners, culinary and educational demonstrations, traditional and untraditional pairings, and the opportunity to taste Kohler Co.’s sweetest product: KOHLER Original Recipe Chocolates.
During the event, Roberts will host “Putting it All Together: Dark Chocolate S'mores Parfait” at the Main Stage on Saturday, Feb. 20 from 2-3pm. The educational cooking demonstration will show guests how to create her signature treat inspired by a campfire favorite. Roberts will instruct chocolate lovers on how to make the three components: dark chocolate cremeux (also known as the best chocolate pudding ever), cinnamon graham crackers, and rosemary vanilla bean marshmallow fluff.
Roberts oversees the pastry kitchen at the AAA Four-Diamond hotel, theWit, Chicago. As Executive Pastry Chef, Roberts is responsible for the vision and orchestration of witty indulgences and dessert creations throughout the property. Roberts graduated from The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) with an Associate of Baking and Pastry Arts in 2005.
Joining Roberts is Donald Wressell, Executive Pastry Chef at the renowned Guittard Chocolate Company, Destination Kohler’s Executive Pastry Chef and World Pastry Champion Josh Johnson, KOHLER Original Recipe Chocolates’ Head Chocolatier Anette Righi DeFendi – recently named one of the Top Ten Chocolatiers in North America by Dessert Professional – and Lucas Oppeneer, The American Club’s Head Chef (Banquets).
